ROI Art Prize 2019
As an annual, acquisitive art prize of $10,000 funded and run by the ROI Owners Corporation, the ROI Art Prize is unique in Victoria, if not Australia. Now in its eighth year it continues to gain respect and interest, in 2019 attracting entries from established and emerging artists. From the first year’s winner in 2012, the late Gordon Bennett, there has been an impressive list of entrants and winners.
The 2019 ROI Art Prize was awarded at a presentation at the ROI Apartments on 28 November to Brett Ferry for Lustful Life, acrylic and oil on polycotton. It now joins earlier winning works on permanent display in the ROI buildings.
